BACKSTAGES

When Flair launched last October, the collection included 10 bodysuits with male names. Why did we do this? Because our bodysuits are for women, we thought it would be nice to give them guys' names. So what could be better than old French names like Marcel, which you loved, Virgil or Ernest.

Not rocket science, just a way to tell you a bit of our story since, as a reminder, Flair products are 100% made in France!

For this second collection, we wanted to honour these French women who have flair!

It was during the photo shoot with Sev and Dorcas, our two Flair women, that we thought of 10 women with flair and style! I guess the sun of Marseille and the canebière inspired us...

BODY BRIGITTE

The headband in the hair, bohemian chic, effortlessly sexy, made us think of BB!

We couldn't honor our French women in a collection without her... And we also love animals :)

BODY CAROLE

During the Carole bodysuit shoot on the old port, Sev exclaims "you look like Carole Bouquet arriving at the Deauville festival".
We quite agreed. So we called her Carole and it suits her pretty well ;)

BODY MARCELLE

After a quick look at Wikipedia you could say that a Marcelle was one of the first French women to hold political office. Clever Marcelle, but clearly we had no idea!

The real reason is that it's the little sister of one of our flagship models from our 1st collection: Marcel, pastel colours and ¾ sleeves version. So we're breaking the rule a bit for this one, but since we're the ones making them...

BODY ISABELLE

Its half chimney collar gives it an elegant look without fuss and, above all, in complete discretion.

It immediately made us think of Isabelle Huppert, the discreet woman who has more than 120 films to her credit, 2 César awards for best actress, Officer of the National Order of Merit and Officer of the Legion of Honour. Yes, that's it, and you didn't know it! That's all Isabelle ; )

BODY AUDREY

One of our favourite films, the one we watch 12 times on rainy winter Sundays nailed to the sofa, is Breakfast at Tiffany's... The elegance, the joie de vivre, the freedom and the naivety of Holly, wonderfully played by Audrey Hepburn, fascinates us!

The famous dress she wears in the mythical scene... We can't get over her back!

So we paid tribute to her with this bodysuit . .. So yes, she's not Frenchy but she could be. And then the rules, once again, it's us who write them :)

BODY JANE

Marinière + Jane = Jane Birkin of course!
The most French of British women has become a French icon with her elegance and attitude... The honour is given to her with a Frenchy marinière fabric and American armholes to pay tribute to her Anglo-Saxon side!

BODY JEANNE

"In red and black, I will exile my fear; I will go higher than these mountains of pain, In red and black, I will display my heart; In exchange for a truce of sweetness"
said Jeanne Mas.

Well, we won't explain it any further, the parallel is pretty clear here.
So, if you want to exile your fears, go higher than the mounts of pain and show your heart, you know what you have to do...

BODY EMMANUELLE

The clue is in this photo:

Can't you see it? Does the Emmanuelle chair mean nothing to you? Hint: it's named after a film. Don't worry, there's no connection. It's just that we shot our bodysuit on this famous armchair, the star of our decor today!

BODY MARGAUX

When Margaux Tardits, a Parisian wedding dress designer, approached us for a collaboration, we immediately said YES. Her creations, full of freedom and elegance, spoke to us.

Together, we imagined a civil wedding outfit composed of a high-waisted skirt with big pleats and a 100% cotton bodysuit, slightly low-cut in the front and bare-back because it's still the big day! The result is here:

SHORT SIMONE

"A free woman is exactly the opposite of a light woman"
said Simone de Beauvoir.

Dear Simone, we at Flair agree. So we came up with a pair of high-waisted shorts that go perfectly with our bodysuits and free your legs!
The idea was to offer you a complementary product to the bodysuits, which we like to wear in the summer, both during the day and in the evening.

 

In conclusion, we would like to tell you that Flair is above all a state of mind and clothes in which you can (finally) be free to move...
